Now Snowing in Celebration

Yes, you can go ice skating in Orlando, all year round. There are two year-round indoor rinks, and every holiday season adds outdoor rinks at resorts and festivals. Here's where to skate, what it costs and how to choose.

Prices and schedules change by season. Check each rink's public skate schedule the day you go, because hockey and figure skating often take the ice.

Year-round indoor rinks

Ice Factory of Central Florida (Kissimmee)

  • Where: 2221 Partin Settlement Road, Kissimmee.
  • Price (2026): $17 general admission and $5 skate rental on the main rink; $15 and $5 on the smaller studio rink. Prices include tax.

The Ice Factory has two sheets of ice and runs public sessions most days, plus lessons and camps. It's the easiest real rink to reach from the Disney and Kissimmee hotels.

RDV Ice Den (Maitland)

  • Where: 8701 Maitland Summit Boulevard, Maitland, north of downtown.
  • Price: Check the RDV Sportsplex public skate page for current rates and the weekly schedule.

The rink at the RDV Sportsplex runs public sessions through the week, with popular evening sessions on Fridays and Saturdays.

Holiday outdoor rinks (2026 season)

Grande Lakes Orlando

  • When: November 25, 2026, to January 2, 2027.
  • Hours: Generally 5:30 to 10 PM. Hours vary on some days.
  • Where: The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.

A real outdoor ice rink, Orlando's most scenic place to skate, next to the resort's Christmas Market. Sessions are ticketed; check the Grande Lakes winter events page for 2026 prices and to book a time. Weekend evenings sell out first.

Now Snowing in Celebration

Celebration's Now Snowing runs nightly from late November through December 31, with snowfall on Market Street and a synthetic ice rink. Admission to the event is free. The town posts the 2026 schedule on celebration.fl.us.

Christmas Celebration at SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration runs on select dates from early November into early January. Skating is an extra charge on top of park admission. Check SeaWorld's event page for this year's rink details.

Oh, What Fun! at Lake Nona

The Lake Nona holiday festival runs December 4 to 20, 2026, on select days. Past years have included an open-air rink; check the festival's schedule before you go.

Real ice vs. synthetic ice

Some holiday rinks use synthetic panels instead of frozen ice. You still wear skates and it still feels like skating, but it's slower and takes more effort. If real ice matters to you, choose the Ice Factory, RDV or Grande Lakes.

Ice skating tips for Orlando

  • Wear long pants and thin gloves, even on a warm night. Falling on ice at 70°F feels exactly as cold as anywhere else.
  • Bring or wear thick socks. Rental skates fit better with them.
  • Go early in the season. The outdoor rinks are busiest from December 20 to January 1.
  • Kids: Most rinks have skate aids for beginners. Ask at the rental counter.
